The ÖAMTC has launched its membership application on smartphones
Since the beginning of the year, it has been evident from the media that the topic of “digitization” will play a vital role at the ÖAMTC in 2019. In fact, not that surprising in such a technically well-versed enterprise.
In a comprehensive project, the ÖAMTC has relaunched one of its most important tools – its membership application.
The HTML5 based solution, which was optimized for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs, is a centrally organized solution.
The membership application process should above all satisfy the “self-service approach” of the online channel, but must also be able to be used “locally” and on-site by all regional association offices.
“customer and employee friendly”, “very easy to use” and proposed for the Innovation Award
After initial skepticism at the regional association level, the solution now meets with great approval without exception. The continuously given feedback rates the solution as “customer and employee friendly” and “very easy to use”. Overall, the ÖAMTC can significantly improve its process throughput times through purely electronic processing.
However, the solution also set new standards in terms of data protection. The coordination with the legal department of the ÖAMTC with regard to data protection requirements was an integral part and had a significant impact on the process design.
The ÖAMTC has proposed its electronic membership application for the international Innovation Award.
